Pregame Evalution

Its that time again, Survivor season! The 28th installment of CBS’s hit reality show Survivor will be hosted in Cagayan. The twist to this season are the tribe divisions based on Brawn, Brains, & Beauty placing players on these themes. As a Survivor enthusiast it is difficult to make an assumption off the preview of the tribes. The first few challenges are highly physically putting Brawn as a high contenders to sweep the first few episodes, but based on some CBS previews Tony and Cliff seem to butt heads at their very first challenge! This disruption early on can literally crumble and maim the Brawn tribe. I am putting my bet on the Brains tribe to keep it together and skillfully work through the first few challenges before one of the three tribes get absorbed. Finally the Beauty tribe! If they live up to their expectation they are big breasted women and perfectly chiseled men with no real thoughts or strategy behind their game play.

With that being said here is my ranking of the Survivor Cagayan contestants!

My final three would be: Garret, Spencer & Woo

#1. Garrett- Not only is Garrett on the Brains team for his high intellectual skills, but he is a professional poker player. He will know how to read people and call their bluffs with ease. If he wants to go to the final three he will need to have a solid two people – we have seen it in Blood Vs Water with Tyson, Gervase and Monica. Taking a cocky Spencer would be ideal because he most likely pissed off everyone to the end. Garrett is athletic and will be able to mind f*^k the competition with ease making him my number one pick.

#2. Spencer- He may be on the Brains tribe, but he is one viscous player. Spencer is out for blood and will leave a wake of destruction and chaos in his path. Hopefully he isn’t viewed as the cancer of the tribe, but more of a goat to take the final three. It would be smart to take Spencer with you to take all the bullets for you and potentially winning the game. Many people take the game TOO seriously and act strictly on emotions. If Spencer doesn’t bully too many castaways he may get third.

#3. Woo- This martial arts instructor is going to kick some serious ass! He isn’t a big meat head and doesn’t seem to be a loud mouth on the Brawn tribe making him able to easily fly under the radar and take out the big goons in his way. Being a martial arts instructor Woo will be highly disciplined, making the survival situation for him pretty easy. I believe his social game will be pretty well. He’s a young and charming guy, why wouldn’t people like him and gravitate towards him?!

#4. Lindsey- Instantly when I saw her dreadlocks I fell in love with this castaway! When I saw her placed on the Brawn tribe I was actually taken back. So not only does she look beautiful, she is going to tackle the shit out of you during a physical challenge. Based on her career choice of salon owner and bartender Lindsey will be able to see through people’s lies and twist it around onto her fellow castaways. Final three material, I don’t think so. Making it deep into the game, yeah that’s more realistic.

#5. Jeremiah- Good old country, just like JT from Survivor Tocantins. He will be a hard working and a flirtatious man who can make his way easily into the merge. Seeing the others on the Beauty tribe Jeremiah will be a physical force that can help them succeed in challenges early on, but making him a big threat come merge time. Hopefully Jeremiah can take his charm and move into a strong alliance.

#6. LJ- What a great guy, taking care of horses and other animals. His voice is so mellow and calm. This castaway really wants to be on this show and I’m rooting for him. LJ’s strategy is to fly under the radar and be an asset to his tribe. Lets just hope he can survive a tribe absorb because the other tribes may see right through his strategy.  He may be on the Beauty tribe, but he is a big force to be reckon with. If him, Jeremiah and Jefra team up they will be a strong force to make it to the final three.

#7. Jefra- A southern girl, yay! Because Jefra and Jeremiah are both from the south they will instantly have a connection making them a strong force in the long run. She loves to hunt and do outdoorsy things, but that doesn’t mean you will go far in this game. Jeremiah and her make work the beauty tribe and easily chip away at the competition being a strong duo.

#8. J’Tia- A nuclear engineer?! This is a Survivor first, I mean we did have John from Survivor Somoa who was a rocket scientist, but no nuclear engineer! J’Tia is one smart SOB who seems very adaptable. She was a model then decided to become a nuclear engineer! I seriously cannot get over that career choice. From her pre-game interview I can see J’Tia getting a little lippy ruining her social game and giving her the boot.

#9. Trish- This Brawn member reminds me of a blonde Denise from Survivor Philippines. Denise attended every single tribal council and won the game – she adapted easily and did what she had to do. Hopefully Trish will be able to find her inner Denise, buuut I don’t think so. Seeing the Brawn tribe she could be able to dip and dodge the loud mouths but she will make herself a target if there will be a tribe absorb or merge. Based on her interview she is going to go hard no matter what, making herself a very physical threat.

#10. David- Alright, David! I highly respect the amount of discipline you talk about – doing the IronMan triathlon to show people the amount of training it takes to achieve a goal. Not only that, but David is the president of the Miami Marlins! If David lets the information leak, his head will be on the chopping block, hands down. David is strategic and will methodically pick off his fellow castaways. David will make it to the merge, but no more.

#11. Tony- A fellow New Jersey-ian with a very Italian name and an appropriate job of a police officer. If he is anything like my Italian family he will be: loud, center of attention, tell you off, use silly made up words (like any Italian man would do) and did I say LOUD?! With his career choice Tony must be used to talking down to people and being in control of the law – which will be his downfall. He may make the merge or just fall short of it.

70px-S28_tony_c

#12. Tasha- SO CUTE AND BUBBLY!! Literally love Tasha’s personality and is so easy to connect to. This will be Tasha’s strength being able to adapt to her fellow castaways, but I just hope she isn’t too much of a pushover. She really knows what she wants to do and on paper Tasha sounds great! In reality, I don’t see Tasha making it to the merge.

70px-S28_tasha_c

#13. Kass- Oh Kass, I thought you were just one of the older players on Survivor, but your Twitter arguments worry me! I’m not sure if you and Tony aren’t messing around, but it makes me think. I believe Kass will not make it to the merge. With these Twitter feuds, Kass must have jumped ship from an alliance and screwed over a group. Kass could be a changing tide for someone, but not herself.

70px-S28_kass_c

#14. Cliff- Being a professional NBA player puts a massive target on your back the moment you meet the castaways! There are pros to being a pro though. Cliff knows what victory tastes like and he wants more off the court. Lets just hope he doesn’t become head strong leader trying to mold his tribe with an iron fist. From the previews, Tony and Cliff seem to butt heads during the first challenge. Cliff will be fun to watch, definitely a titan.

70px-S28_cliff_c

#15. Sarah- Another police officer! Yippee!! Sarah seems great, but the past records of female law enforcers in the game of Survivor doesn’t consist of a strong longevity. Cristina from Cook Islands was regarded as bossy and loud. Betsy from Somao was taken out because Russel knew Betsy saw right through him. Maybe its something about cops that people freak out about resulting in getting rid of them immediately. Tony may feel threatened  by a female officer resulting in her vote out, but I really don’t see Sarah making it to the merge.

70px-S28_sarah_c

#16. Brice- Oh Brice, I hope your lifestyle doesn’t interfere with your strategy and game play. I can see Brice getting very sassy with his tribe makes and working the shadows and every angle to make his team turn on each other causing chaos. I can see Brice being a less vicious Colton, but a bigger diva than anyone on Survivor. I love to root for people close to home (I attend Rowan University, not far from Philadelphia). As much as I would like to see Brice go far, LJ and Jeremiah could be his roadblock.

70px-S28_brice_c

#17. Morgan- Maybe its just the stereotype of the females on the Beauty tribe, but I really do not see these ladies going far! To be in majority of their tribes votes one of these girls could hop along with the men and stay strong, but I really don’t know who they would take. Or even swap out Brice for Jefra and Morgan. Morgan seems to be more of a hard worker than Alexis and more of a flirt. Morgan has a better longevity than the others but not merge worthy.

70px-S28_morgan_c

#18. Alexis- Ugh, another bimbo yet again on Survivor. Alexis is an easy pick to knock off real quick without any collateral damage. She will be the one out of breath and struggling to finish with her team making her the first to be voted out. I’m 22 and want to be on this show so badly, but they insist taking big breasted women who may bring in more viewers in for the one episode she will be on.
